Garden City Community College will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the new STEM Success Center and the Gary E. Jarmer Technical Annex expansion from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 3.
Additional details will be forthcoming, but the community is encouraged to save the date.
The STEM Success Center is a 10,000-square-foot addition to the Warren Fouse Science and Math building featuring four new classrooms: a chemistry lab, a computer support specialist lab, a robotics and mechatronics lab, and a flex classroom for lectures. The state-of-the-art facility also houses student study spaces and new equipment.
The Gary E. Jarmer Technical Annex expansion added 8,000 square feet of classroom and office space. The John Deere Ag Tech program gained additional classroom space and a four-bay shop area within the expansion. The space also has brand-new offices for the Information Technology department.
The STEM Success Center ribbon cutting will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by tours until 11:00 a.m. At 11:15 a.m., the Gary E. Jarmer Technical Annex Expansion ribbon-cutting will take place with tours until 11:45 a.m.
Garden City Community College invites the public to join us in celebrating these new facilities on campus!
