Garden City Community College was honored as “Large Business of the Year” during the Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce annual banquet and business awards on April 11.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of every member of the Garden City Community College team,” GCCC President Dr. Ryan Ruda said. “Our institution consistently delivers excellence, thanks to the unwavering commitment of our employees who strive to make a positive impact on our students, campus, and community. This acknowledgment underscores the significance of our collective efforts, and we are truly grateful for the recognition.”
The selection process involved an evaluation conducted by a panel comprised of former award recipients and members of the Chamber executive board.
Each nominee was assessed against a set of criteria, which includes evaluating contributions in five key areas: (1) Business and Job Growth in Finney County, (2) Business Success and Innovation, (3) Community Involvement, Activities, and Services Provided, (4) Employee Culture and Workforce Environment, and (5) Community-Based Philanthropy.
