For nearly five decades, Coleen’s Trophies & Gifts has helped Garden City celebrate achievements, milestones, and meaningful moments.
Coleen Rupp first established the business on Main Street in 1978. In 2016, her daughter, Sonya Roth, proudly stepped in to continue the family tradition.
Since taking ownership, Sonya has grown the business significantly, nearly tripling its size. Just two years ago they moved to a new location they now call home at 615 N. Main Street.
As the name promises, Coleen’s Trophies specializes in custom awards, engraving, and personalized gifts, but that is not all Coleen’s has to offer. Sonya has added a thoughtfully curated selection of Christian gifts, including Bibles, rosaries, décor, and baby items. She’s also been building out her online presence giving their customers more ways to shop than one.
Roth says one of the favorite aspects of her work is the customer. From bringing happiness to her customers with custom pieces to being part of the downtown community, she loves it all.
“Being downtown just feels like a community,” Roth said, and that sense of connection shows in everything she does.
As downtown prepares for a busy holiday season, Coleen’s is also offering a few special touches of its own. The shop will be open on Saturdays and offering a gift-with-purchase opportunity. These small gifts, such as coasters and wine glasses, make easy additions to holiday stockings
