
Garden City Community College (GCCC) will host the second annual, “So You Want To Be a Teacher?!” event from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 5 in the GCCC Thomas Saffell Library.
This information fair is for high school and college students, paraprofessionals, and other aspiring educators interested in pursuing a career in education.
“This event is a one-stop opportunity for anyone considering a career in education,” said Layla Martinez, GCCC Associate Professor of Education. “Attendees can explore pathways, meet potential employers, and start planning their future.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with transfer university representatives to develop personalized academic plans.
- Meet with area school districts seeking future educators.
- Engage with GCCC faculty and staff, including representatives from the Education Department, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Advising.
This come-and-go event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. Attendees should register by March 1 by completing the registration form online: Attendee Registration.
Colleges, universities, and school districts are invited to showcase their education programs and employment opportunities at the event by registering for a free booth.
