
High school juniors and seniors will come to the Garden City Community College campus on Nov. 11 for the college’s annual Exploration Day, which provides students a hands-on look at GCCC’s academic and technical programs, student life, and opportunities available to help them achieve their educational goals.
Registration is now open. Students may sign up through their school counselor or online by visiting gcccks.edu/explorationday.
The final deadline for all participants is Wednesday, November 4.
Throughout the day of the event, students will have the opportunity to customize their experience by attending program sessions aligned with their interests. Students can also connect with campus clubs and organizations during a free lunch and club fair. During the lunch session, GCCC will award multiple scholarships to graduating seniors.
The schedule includes:
- Check-in: 8:30 to 9:00 AM at the Dennis Perryman Athletic Complex
- Welcome Session: Introduction to GCCC
- Breakout Sessions: Three 45-minute sessions highlighting academic and technical programs
- Lunch & Student Organization/Club Fair: Free lunch and an opportunity to connect with student organizations.
- Event Conclusion: 1:45 PM
