Iron Insurance Partners CEO Shawn Myers was recently honored as one of the top executives by the Wichita Business Journal.
As a 2002 graduate of Hastings College (Hastings, NE), Myers joined Keller Leopold Insurance in Garden City in 2011. He worked as an account executive and in 2016 took on a partner role as well as Chief Operating Officer.
In 2020, the decision to move Shawn to CEO was established and Keller Leopold would go on to merge with Assurance Partners in 2021, forming Iron Insurance Partners.
After being announced as the CEO for Iron Insurance Partners, Myers relocated to Wichita so he could be more centrally located.
Since taking the helm of IIP, he has been active in growing the organization and has helped the company bring on four additional agencies, bringing the organization to 14 locations in 12 communities.
When asked about what qualities a company leader should have, Myers said, “There are a lot of qualities that a company leader must have, but if I had to pick just one it would be humility. Being humble clearly communicates to the team that it is not all about you. In fact, it does the opposite and puts the focus back on the team, where it should be.”
