Garden City Community College Sports Medicine Department will host the Southwest Kansas Sports Medicine Skills Camp from June 17 – 19 on campus.
This three-day camp is for individuals interested in sports medicine, including high school and college students, team managers, and coaches.
Participants will engage in hands-on learning experiences focusing on crucial skills such as wound care, emergency procedures, taping techniques, and injury treatment.
The camp, which is a collaboration with Common Spirit – St. Catherine’s Hospital, offers two distinct tracks, catering to both basic and advanced skill levels.
Attendees may opt for overnight accommodation in GCCC’s on-campus dorms.
Registration for the Southwest Kansas Sports Medicine Skills Camp is now open, with a deadline of June 1.

Camp Fees can be submitted by mail or physically dropped off using cash or check.
Camp Registration (Only; Basic or Advanced Tracks): $150.00
• Registration for camp ONLY without overnight stay. If you choose the advanced track, we recommend that you either have attended the basic camp or have some athletic training/medical background before selecting this option.
Overnight Camp Registration (Basic or Advanced Tracks): $350.00 • Registration for advanced camp with overnight stay on-campus. This will cover your overnight dorm stay, meals for the two night/three day camp, as well as entry to some evening events. If you choose the advanced track, we recommend that you have either attended the basic camp or have some athletic training/medical background before selecting this option.
