Memorial Garden dedication scheduled for April 19 to honor GCCC HALO founder Gonzales

The Garden City Community College Hispanic American Leadership Organization (HALO) announces the dedication of a memorial garden in honor of its esteemed founder, Lydia M. Gonzales.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. April 19 in the Quad on the GCCC campus. A reception will follow in the Saffell Library vestibule.

GCCC Theatre sets performances of ‘I Hate Hamlet’

Garden City Community College Theatre recently announces performances of Paul Rudnick’s “I Hate Hamlet” at 7 p.m. on April 18-20, and April 25-27 at KCB Bank Auditorium Stage in the Joyce Fine Arts Building.

New Mercer exhibit explores human condition

The Mercer Gallery is hosting Josh Knott and Josh Novak from Crowder College in Neosho, MO, through April 26, the final exhibition before the student art exhibition at the end of the month.

The “MUCBANG HURKLE DURKLE” exhibition consists of mixed-media prints by Knott containing grotesque imagery that explores the human condition.
