Garden City Schools have planned retirement receptions for district staff during the week to recognize the many years of dedicated service that the employees have provided to the school district.

- Garfield Early Childhood Center party for Marsha Dixon and Rosario Ruvalcaba at 4:30 p.m. in the lounge at the school.
Wednesday, May 13
- Horace Good Middle School reception for Paula Baker from 7:20 to 7:50 a.m. The event will be held in the Courtyard.
- Garden City Achieve party for Glenda Gibson and Norma Ayala from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 109.
- Gertrude Walker Elementary School reception for Manuela Vigil from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 14
- Charles O. Stones Intermediate Center party for Rhonda Soto, Julie Morris, and Tersea Nolan from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Friday, May 15
- Edith Scheuerman Elementary School party for Sara Brown and Penny Medina at 4:10 p.m.
